Meet the Chiropractor

Richard Amato, the clinical director of Chiropractic, has over twenty years of experience with patients who were injured from car accidents, work accidents and even the weekend warrior patients. Dr. Amato has a background consisting of Neurology (certified in advanced Electromyography examinations /EMGs), Disability claims (certified disability analyst) and Sports Medicine (ISSA- International Sports Science Association certified sports trainer). In his experiences treating patients, it is very common for Dr. Amato to work with Neurologists, Orthopedic Surgeons, Primary Care Physicians and Physical Therapists. The resolution of a patient’s complaints involves a treatment plan to correct the cause of the patient’s problem. In addition the patient will be given exercises and stretches as part of a rehabilitative program to prevent reoccurrences.

In the office many patients present with complaints of headaches, spinal pain from pinched nerves (from an intervertebral disc injury) and extremity (arm/leg) pains that require treatment. In his day to day experiences, Dr. Amato works with a diverse patient population when alleviating the patient’ s complaints. Many times the treatment plan involves getting an MRI for the patient and/or working with other medical specialists. This is common practice when a patient presenting to the office may need other than chiropractic care. Many times, patient treatment plans necessitate second opinions with other providers and this is often encouraged by Dr. Amato for the welfare of the patient.

Dr. Frederick Giovanelli is a chiropractor with over 20 years of experience serving Queens and the Bronx. He has an extensive background in clinical nutrition, neurology and sports medicine. Dr. Giovanelli has treated many patients with a multitude of complaints ranging from headaches, neck pain, back pain to pain radiating into the arms and legs. He uses his expertise along with working hand-in-hand with orthopedists, neurologists and physical therapists to provide his patients the utmost care. Dr. Giovanelli is certified in advanced electromyography examinations (EMGs), is a certified sports trainer and a former NCAA Division I athlete. He has unique insight when it comes to sports injuries and uses this knowledge not only to treat the patient but to rehabilitate to prevent re-injury through nutrition, exercise and stretching, all in conjunction with chiropractic care
